Embark on a journey with That’s What She Said Champaign-Urbana, where we celebrate the power of women's voices through captivating storytelling. Our mission is to weave a tapestry of shared experiences, fostering connections and empowering women to be authentic, brave, and vulnerable all while supporting the local Champaign-Urbana community. Join us as we amplify the voices of our community, one story at a time.
In 2013, That’s What She Said Champaign-Urbana took its first steps, joining the national movement of That’s What She Said by bringing it into our community. Since then, we’ve begun to put on annual shows that are beacons of inspiration, igniting conversations, and building bridges between different parts of our community
At That’s What She Said Champaign-Urbana, we believe in the power of storytelling not only to inspire individuals but to effect positive change in our community. This mission extends beyond the stage and this year we are proudly partnering with both The Family Room & the Parkland Foundation Women of Impact to amplify our impact.

Parkland Women of Impact is a grassroots giving circle of compassionate, diverse, and influential women dedicated to supporting women at Parkland College through scholarships. With a mission to create a ripple effect of stronger women, families, workplaces, and communities, the organization builds a supportive community that helps women achieve their goals and dreams.
By helping students take a step closer to graduation, the organization helps to build a better future through workplaces, communities, and families throughout our region.
Each year, Women of Impact members are invited to the marquee event. Through a gift, spreading the word, and attendance at the marquee event, they build a stronger community to keep women stepping towards their goals and dreams. The Women of Impact are creating a ripple effect of stronger women, families, workplaces, and communities. We are thrilled to be partnering with them and to use our show as a platform to help them in their mission and create a ripple of change throughout our community.
We are honored to partner with The Family Room, a local nonprofit organization in Champaign-Urbana dedicated to bringing comfort and joy to children and families in the foster care system. Their mission: to provide comfort and joy so that every child in transitionary or temporary housing has what they need.
Each year, nearly 500 children in Champaign County enter or navigate the foster care system. Many of these children arrive at their new homes with little more than the clothes they’re wearing. Foster parents and short-term guardians often have only hours’ notice before welcoming a child into their care, leaving little time to gather essentials. That’s where The Family Room steps in.
The Family Room provides care packs, clean clothing, hygiene items, and other necessities to help families meet immediate needs. Through our partnership, we’re proud not only to shine a light on the vital work The Family Room does each day but to be raising money to provide more children and families with the items they need to feel safe and comfortable even in the hardest of times.
We cannot express how proud we are of our incredible team. They are the heart and soul of That's What She Said Champaign-Urbana and without them this would not be possible. Each member brings a unique set of skills, dedication to our mission, and a deep love for our community. From organizing the logistics to supporting our speakers, their contributions are invaluable. We are honored to have such an incredible group of individuals working together to bring That’s What She Said Champaign-Urbana to life.
